Week 8 Wednesday Challenge and Music

Challenge 1:
Can you create your name using Playdough?
Step 1: Write your child’s name on a piece of paper, as big as you could really write.
Step 2: Show your child how to roll the play dough

Step 3: After rolling the Playdough into a worm, try to form it onto the letter of your child’s name.
Step 4: Can you form the letters of your name completely on your own?
Step 5: Finally, get your child to write his or her own name on the paper.

Step 6: Take a picture of this activity and upload it in the Tapestry.

Have a great day!

VOCAL WORK

Here are two new songs for us to learn today;

I've Been Working on the Railway

Hello Song for Kids

But don’t forget our previous songs.

MUSIC PITCH EXPLORATION

Here are six strings.

They have been made so that different lengths of the strings vibrate.

This means that they sound different.

Can you play them and decide which strings are high and which strings are low?

What makes the strings high and what makes the strings low?

It is connected to the length of the strings. Can you work it out?

When you have explored the strings perhaps you can play them and make up your own short tune.
